# Standard

Standard / casual mode is the Fight League’s main **free-to play mode** where players can experience the full range of Fight League. 

In Standard mode, players must create their teams before entering the queue for matchmaking. The game is then played in accordance with the [core game loop](https://curatorstudios.gitbook.io/fight-league/the-game/core-game-loop), which consists of five battles in a single game.

Players can easily join the game, have fun, and improve their skills, with the possibility of earning basic and and power cards.
